| The story behind our elephant |
When you're flying down Highway 343 and the light is just so, you
may not believe your eyes at the sight of a fully grown elephant,
seemingly about to disappear into the swamp on the edge or our
sale site. Tires have squealed and the sheriffs office has received
more than one telephone call reporting an elephant on the loose
in Camden County. But, he's only real to those of us who believe.
In reality he's a Jungle Golf decoration, purloined many years ago
by some not quite fully delinquent juveniles, who apparently
realized after the fact that he was just too big to hide. The
unknown thieves abandoned him here on our property, and here
he's been ever since. If you have trouble with your GPS or map
directions, you'll know you've arrived when you see our elephant!
